The veterans plaza features unique, individual monuments honoring all veterans, all conflicts and all generations.  The plaza is distinguished by a majestic 760 square foot United States Flag flying high above a hilltop.  The hillside below is home to more than twenty monuments and engravings honoring the sacrifices made in places like Iwo Jima, Korea, Grenada, Iraq, Panama, Somalia, Afghanistan and Bosnia.  There are special tributes to our MIA/POWs, women who serve, and sacrifices made by families and friends.

The Plaza is home to an exact scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.  All 58,307 names are engraved on the wall exatly as they appear on the wall in Washington, D.C.

Like the memorials in Washington, D.C., the intent of the Plaza is not to honor war, but to honor the warriors.  It is not a judgment on the rights and wrongs of war but focuses on creating a space for reflection of veterans and their families.  A place for members of the community to gain a better understanding of the sacrifices that have been made to give us our freedom and our great country.
